PORTLAND, Ore. — Chrome Systems has rolled out a new online tool for fleet professionals designed to give them the ability to efficiently research and configure vehicles to meet the needs of their customers. Carbook Pro also allows them to present their work via built-in quote worksheets and a multitude of customizable reports.

As most in the industry know, it is vital for fleet sales professionals — whether they're at automakers or dealerships — to meet corporate customers' needs with regards to price, fuel economy, size/weight, emissions and options. As part of their work with clients, they often compare their vehicles against competitor models. As such, being able to get a hold of timely and accurate information can be paramount.

This is where Carbook Pro can help out.

The tool is composed of seven modules that can either be bought all together or a la carte, where they would be licensed component by component.

The modules are as follows: build a vehicle, standard equipment, vehicle comparisons, quote worksheets, report templates, vehicle list management and technical specifications.

The company indicated that the components can be triggered on a user-by-user basis. This depends on user permissions.

Chrome also pointed out that the tool's management console provides managers the ability to invite or delete users, sort the component views and promote or demote account managers.

"Fleet professionals are expected to know every detail about every vehicle so they can make the best fit between vehicle and customer requirements on any particular order," explained Amit Maheshwari, general manager of DealerTrack data services.

"Carbook Pro from Chrome dramatically simplifies that process with an intuitive, multi-user platform that can be customized to fit the needs of any company," Maheshwari added. "We've included comprehensive functionality that is permissions-based so a company only has to license what is critical for them. This tool is easy-to-use and built around what our customers need to help them do their jobs better, faster and with more accuracy."
