PHOENIX -

ClassicCars.com announced late last week that the online collector/classic car marketplace has reached a new milestone.

The aggregate value of the inventory on the site now is more than $1 billion, officials noted.

“Reaching one billion dollars in inventory is a tremendous milestone for us and for our industry,” stated chief executive officer Roger Falcione.

“Never before have consumers and collectors had so great a selection of vehicles from which to choose. We have a passionate audience of die-hard enthusiasts to thank for that,” he added.

The site includes close to 30,000 vehicles that range in value from below $5,000 “fixer uppers” to some models eclipsing $1 million. It launched a Road-Ready Certified program last year designed to ensure roadworthiness and provide buyers with a warranty and roadside assistance.
