FAIRFIELD, Calif. — Copart UK Limited has continued to expand its presence by recently agreeing to purchase D Hales Limited, a salvage disposal company based in Bristol, U.K.

D Hales Limited has five auction and auto parts facilities throughout the United Kingdom, including locations in Bristol (Avonmouth), Bedford, Colchester, Gainsborough and Luton.

Before this purchase — which is slated to be complete on Jan. 22 — Copart boasted 13 auction locations and auto parts facilities in the United Kingdom.

"The purchase of D Hales Limited demonstrates Copart's continuing investment within the U.K.," stated Copart UK managing director Nigel Paget. "It enables us to expand our U.K. presence by building on our international footprint and adding much needed capacity in response to current and expected business growth in the U.K.

"This acquisition also adds to Copart's efficiencies, reducing transportation costs and further reducing our carbon footprint," he added. "I look forward to welcoming our new colleagues to the Copart team on Jan. 22."
