FREDERICK, Md. –
In an update posted to the National Auto Auction Association’s website last week, NAAA chief executive officer Frank Hackett said the date on which the changes to the Arbitration and Structural Damage policies become effective has been pushed back.
They will now go into effect Oct. 13, instead of Sept. 1.
“Since this is the first time these policies have been updated since January 1, 2011, additional time is needed for new arbitration and structural damage posters and materials to reach all member auctions,” the update from NAAA read.
The new policies can be read here:

As reported in Auto Remarketing last month, NAAA’s auction standards committee received unanimous from the executive committee to move ahead with the revisions to the policies.
