Graham Ourisman Automotive’s sales numbers will get a big boost from its latest acquisition.

The dealer group purchased McGeorge Toyota in Henrico, Va. — ranked No. 4 in sales volume among franchise dealerships in the state — from Rod McGeorge and the McGeorge Family of Dealerships.

The new acquisition, to be renamed Ourisman Toyota of Richmond, is the group’s first dealership in the Richmond market, adding to its six stores in the Washington D.C. area.

“Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to Rod McGeorge and his dedicated team for their exceptional work in building this remarkable dealership,” Graham Ourisman Automotive president Chris Ourisman said in a news release from Haig Partners, which served as an advisor during the process.

“As we step into this exciting new chapter, we are eager to carry forward the legacy the McGeorge family created and to continue delivering exceptional service to our valued customers and the wonderful Richmond community.”

McGeorge Toyota has built a strong reputation in the market, earning Toyota’s President’s Award for 26 consecutive years and the automaker’s Customer First Advisory Board Award for five consecutive years.

It is one of just 20 North American Toyota dealerships recognized for exceeding the company’s highest standards of customer service, sales, parts and vehicle servicing.

Rod McGeorge said he wanted to find “the absolute right buyer” when he decided to sell a dealership his family had owned for more than 50 years.

“While parting ways with McGeorge Toyota is bittersweet for me, I can rest easy knowing that it is now in the best of hands with Chris Ourisman and the team at Graham Ourisman Automotive,” he said.
