Dealer Services Corp. of Indiana Rakes in Tech Honors
CARMEL, Ind. — Dealer Services Corp. of Indiana and its chief information officer Chris Brady have been on an award-collecting tour this month. A total of four honors have come their way stemming from the completion of ERP consolidation to develop and deploy predictive analytic technology to help in forecasting revenue and make real-time adjustments.
Among the honors were:
—The Computerworld Honors Program named Brady as one of this year's Laureates for her groundbreaking use of business intelligence technology. Officials explained the 2010 Laureates span private and public organizations across several industries and are nominated by a group of 100 chairmen and chief executive officers of global technology companies. DSC and Brady were honored at the 22nd Annual Laureates Medal Ceremony & Gala Awards Evening on June 7 in Washington, D.C.
—Information Builders, an independent leader in business intelligence solutions, chose DSC as one of its 2010 Awards of Distinction winners. Brady accepted the award for innovative use of BI and integration technology at Information Builders' 2010 Summit User Conference.
—International Data Group revealed that Brady was a recipient of its InfoWorld CTO 25 Award for driving innovation in IT and improving DSC's core technology to underpin business operations. IDG officials noted 2010 honorees were chosen for their ability to create new opportunities for their business through IT even as they got leaner, focusing as much on innovation as cost-effectiveness.
—IDG also tapped Brady among the 2010 CIO 100 Award winners. Brady will be presented the honor on Aug. 24 at the conclusion of the 12th annual CIO 100 Symposium and Awards Ceremony and be featured in the August issue of CIO magazine.
In response to all of these accolades, Brady stated, "The Dealer Services IT team continues to identify and develop pace-setting technologies for our industry.
"Their phenomenal knowledge and perseverance produces products and services that not only mitigate risk in volatile economic times, but also help our customers run their businesses more efficiently and effectively," she continued. "I am proud to be associated with such innovative and dedicated professionals."
As DSC's CIO, the company reiterated Brady oversees all aspects of information technology, including architecture, security and compliance, application development, infrastructure and program management. Management believes her extensive understanding of business operations has helped DSC leverage cutting-edge technology to provide significant business value.
Prior to joining DSC, Brady held senior management roles at several leading consulting organizations, including KSM Consulting. Her background spans business process reengineering to financial systems to business intelligence.
Officials mentioned Brady has led projects for a number of global enterprises and government agencies, including Eli Lilly, the U.S. Navy, Volvo and Goodwill.
"Since DSC's inception, Chris has done a great job assimilating all aspects of DSC's operational business demands to create efficient synergies between technology and practical business flow while choreographing competing demands," noted DSC chief executive officer Brian Geitner.
"Chris has a unique knack of anticipating the long-term needs of our operation's teams to find innovative multidimensional solutions instead of merely building what we ask for," Geitner continued.
"Because of this, DSC has been able to research, build and deliver a technological platform with our customers and employees at its core," he went on to say. "With multiple initiatives in the hopper, Chris continues to reliably deliver on time and within budget."
