WALTHAM, Mass. -

DealerRater has struck a deal with car-shopping iPad app creator CarZen that can give dealer members of the dealership review website even more exposure to car shoppers.

Under the partnership, the more than 450,000 dealer reviews on DealerRater can be read using the CarZen iPad app.

The app includes more than 2 million vehicle listings in addition to a dealer locator.

“We are excited to collaborate with CarZen to feature car dealer reviews on the newest version of their iPad App,” said DealerRater president Chip Grueter.

“When shopping for a car, third-party reviews on dealerships are an integral part of the car-buying experience, and we are happy to share the reviews of our DealerRater community members with the fast-growing iPad market that CarZen serves,” he added.

Sharing more details about the CarZen App, officials noted that in less than six months after its launch, there were more than 120,000 downloads of the app.

The average time a consumer spends using the app is 11 minutes, they added.

“Our mission is to serve our users with the highest quality experience that is possible,” stated Nick Gidwani, the chief executive officer of CarZen.

“By offering DealerRater’s nearly half a million reviews of dealers — and not hiding bad reviews — we are providing our users with great content and ultimate transparency when searching for a car,” Gidwani continued.
