Dominion Dealer Solutions Launches New Website Platform, Aims to Eliminate Need for Building Mobile Site
Dealers utilizing Dominion Dealer Solutions now have a new option when setting up a website or mobile site for their store.
Potentially cutting down on the time spent building and maintaining mobile sites, Dominion revealed today the launch of its new website platform: Dominion Adaptive Websites.
The company contends that the new platform — built with Adaptive Design Technology — “eliminates the need to build and maintain a mobile website, allows users to create and edit pages quickly and easily and maintains a consistent online brand presence, building loyalty and retention with customers,” officials noted.
And the new platform automatically configures to display on desktop, tablet or mobile devices.
This could be particularly significant to dealers as the rate of mobile usage among car shoppers continues to grow. The company provided a few of its findings to illustrate this expanding trend.
“The launch of this technology is crucial, especially considering 32 percent of auto shoppers use a smartphone to find a dealership, 80 percent of tablet owners say they use their tablets to research and buy products and 23 percent use their desktop or PC,” officials shared.
Commenting on the new platform, Sean Stansell, product manager for Dominion Dealer Solutions, said, "Dominion Adaptive Websites anticipate how consumers’ needs and expectations change from device to device and adapt content, layout and actions to meet those needs.
“These sites remove obstacles for consumers, making them more likely to do business with a dealer and have a positive experience at the same time,” he continued.
Highlighting the new product in more detail, the company noted that for online car shoppers, “the transition from tablet to mobile to desktop will be seamless.”
And how does the platform ensure this?
Dominion Adaptive Websites detects features and screen size and alter the design of the webpage to fit the device on which it is displayed, the company explained.
Moreover, it will change layout and reprioritize content based on the platform being used. And lastly, the company noted the new platform will change navigation and actions according to the platform being used.
Brice Englert, general product manager for Dominion Marketing Services, stated, “Dealers have a tremendous opportunity to adopt this new platform, simplify their online presence, and give consumers simple access to what they are looking for on any device.
“Some of the largest media companies in the country have proven adaptive sites engage and convert better. Now auto dealers can present the same benefits to their local communities,” he concluded.
