It might be one of the most frustrating questions asked at your dealership.

To help solve those issues and more, Dominion DMS announced an integration with ScanIt Parts on Monday. It’s designed to allow for the combination of state-of-the-art wireless technology with barcode scanning and printing equipment.

The companies said this integration can allow dealers to scan in stock and special-order parts either separately or simultaneously.

Labels print automatically when special orders are scanned with customer information. The integration with Dominion DMS can allow inventory to be updated in the DMS in real time.

Bill Althoff is parts manager for Browns Elkader, a franchised dealer group in eastern Iowa.

“The integration between ScanIt Parts and Dominion DMS allows my team to quickly find the parts needed to fill a request and get it to a technician. This saves time and increases efficiency in the dealership,” Althoff said in a news release from Dominion DMS.

With ScanIt’s barcode scanning technology and printing equipment, the company said the potential can improve dealership day-to-day operations, reduce cost, save time and boost data accuracy.

Furthermore, ScanIt’s integration with Dominion’s DMS can eliminate double entry to improve efficiencies and provide faster productivity for dealership staff.
