3 Focus Areas of ACA International’s Spring Forum
ACA International highlighted the successes of Spring Forum 2015 — its three-day educational and networking event in San Antonio.
The organization mentioned Spring Forum 2015 was an opportunity for attendees to expand their knowledge on the credit and collection industry, particularly on trends related to healthcare collections, compliance and data security and privacy.
ACA International chief executive officer Patrick Morris and vice president and general counsel Robert Foehl provided a legislative and regulatory update. The event also featured seminars with information about the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau regulations and how agencies can make sure their compliance management systems are up to date.
ACA SearchPoint was featured at ACA’s booth in the expo hall to provide attendees a glimpse of the member-exclusive compliance tool featuring access to critical compliance documents. The tool is also mobile ready and has a streamlined design that officials stressed can make it even easier to access information.
Attendees at Spring Forum also had the opportunity to complete all the educational requirements of the Credit & Collection Compliance Officer Program including:
— Advanced Compliance: Conducting a Risk Assessment
— Advanced Compliance: Controls & Corrective Action
— Data Security and Privacy
— Ethical & Professional Collections
— Advanced FDCPA
— Understanding and Responding to the CFPB’s Expectations
— Duties of Data Furnishers Under the FCRA
— Writing Effective Policies & Procedures.
“ACA thanks all of the Spring Forum instructors, vendors and attendees who participated in the event and shared their knowledge and expertise to move the industry ahead in 2015 and beyond,” organization officials said.
They added the event began with a golf tournament to support ACA’s political administration fund and political advocacy efforts.
“Thank you to all who joined in the tournament at the award-winning Quarry Golf Club,” ACA International said.
Now ACA International is prepping for the Washington Insights Conference, which is coming up on April 14 through April 16 in Washington, D.C. That event is geared to provide attendees the opportunity to meet with members of Congress and learn about ACA’s work in federal government affairs.
Following that event, ACA International’s 2015 Convention & Expo is scheduled for July 19 through July 21 in Boston.
