This morning, Auto Remarketing and SubPrime Auto Finance News announced the last of a total of four honors to be handed out during Used Car Week, highlighting the inaugural winner of the Auto Finance Executive of the Year, presented by Black Book Lender Solutions.

Earning this award from a group of talented executives who specialize in the money behind the retailing of metal is Bill Jensen, senior vice president and national retail credit executive at Chase Auto Finance.

Jensen will officially receive his award during the SubPrime Forum, which is orchestrated in partnership with the NAF Association and is sponsored by Dealertrack Technologies, Fiserv and Black Book Lender Solutions.

The SubPrime Forum is the newest addition to Used Car Week and is set for Nov. 12 and  Nov. 13 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego.

The Auto Finance Executive of the Year Award will be given to Jensen by Jeff Bunch, vice president of Black Book Lender Solutions

“I am excited about naming Bill Jensen the Auto Finance Executive of the Year with his vast knowledge and 35 years experience in the auto industry. We congratulate him on this well-deserved award,” Bunch said.

The publisher of Auto Remarketing and SubPrime Auto Finance News and Used Car Week chair Bill Zadeits offered a similar reaction when Jensen was chosen this morning.

“Bill Jensen exemplifies exactly what a talented executive in the auto finance industry should be,” Zadeits said.  “We were excited to see Bill nominated and chosen for this award, and we’re delighted that our first-ever Auto Finance Executive of the Year Award is going to an individual of Bill’s caliber.”

Jensen’s announcement completes the list of awards that will be handed out throughout Used Car Week, which begins on Nov. 11 with CPO | The Pre-Owned Conference, sponsored by AutoTrader.com.

Used Car Week also includes the Re3 Conference, sponsored by sponsored by Digital Recognition Network and Primeritus Financial Services, as well as the National Remarketing Conference, sponsored by SmartAuction.

Previously, Galpin Ford of North Hills, Calif., was announced as the 2013 CPO Dealer of the Year, presented by NCM Associates, while Dan Kennedy of GM Remarketing was chosen as the first-ever National Remarketing Executive of the Year, presented by ServNet.
