ALEXANDRIA, Va. -

To help dealers meet the needs of customers in an increasingly transparent used-vehicle market, the American International Automobile Dealers Association is teaming up with NADA Used Car Guide to offer a free Webinar later this month that focuses on the appraisal process, which can be a key element in transparency and customer satisfaction.

After all, doing appraisals the right way can be a good building block to happier customers and stronger results.

“Starting with a realistic trade-in number based on current market conditions will go a long way in ensuring satisfied customers and a better bottom line,” officials noted.

The Webinar is slated for 12 p.m. EST on June 21. Stu Zalud, NADA Used Car Guide’s director of dealer services and a former dealer himself, will moderate.

The online workshop will teach attendees the following:

—How to handle a used car market that has turned transparent.
—How to work with consumers who research trade-in values before coming to the dealership and arrive with erroneous information.
—Put key market data at your fingertips with appraisal tools, such as NADA AppraisalPRO.
—Interpret and apply market data to reach a precise trade-in number through a clearly defined and explainable process.

Used-car managers, general managers, sales managers and dealer principals are encouraged to attend.

Attendees are not required to be an AIADA member to sign up, but there is only space for 150 individuals.
