CHICAGO — Cars.com is gathering a panel of experts and dealer executives for its next free DealerADvantage Live Webinar.

The event, titled "The Price is Right," will share discuss tactics and tools dealers can use to price and stock their inventory competitively. It is set for noon (EST) on Friday.

The list of Webinar presenters includes Pat Ryan Jr., of FirstLook; Dale Pollak, of vAuto; and Mike Waterman, of DealerTrack AAX; as well as Jim Flint, of John Eagle Family of Dealerships; and Kevin Frye, of Jeff Wyler Automotive Family. Jack Simmons, a Cars.com dealer training manager, will moderate.

The topics these individuals plan to cover consist of:

—Using market-based tools to set competitive prices for dealer listings.

—Identifying the in-demand vehicles that command a higher price and turn quickly.

—Merchandising vehicles to demonstrate their value and hold gross.

—Discussing price with customers and manage objections.

"Given today's intense focus on profitability, dealers must be able to quickly turn their listings and maximize gross at every opportunity," Simmons emphasized.

"Today's sophisticated tools help dealers correctly price their inventory from the start and keep pricing in line with the market across the sales cycle," he continued.

"While price plays an important role in the purchase decision, customers also buy for other reasons," Simmons went on to say. "Dealers who fully merchandise the vehicle and sell the value of buying from their store position themselves to win the deal."
