CALABASAS, Calif. — Dealers looking for a free application to enhance their presence and post inventory listings on Facebook now can choose the one released Wednesday by Gumiyo, a provider of mobile marketing solutions.

Gumiyo executives said that their MyShowroom Facebook application can be coordinated with the offerings from other dealer solution providers and media companies. They also stress that their Facebook application can allow dealers to go beyond limitations they've currently encountered with the social networking site.

"For the most part, dealer Facebook pages contain model information, tips videos and photos from the manufacturer and information about the dealership," Gumiyo asserted.

"In addition, dealers are also employing social networking as a reputation management tool in order to highlight 'excellence in service,' 'no-hassle deals,' and other promotions to attract on-lot visits," the company added.

Executives explained what can happen when dealers install the Gumiyo MyShowroom application into their Facebook page. Friends and other consumers can see what's called a MyShowroom tab. From that point, Gumiyo described how users can browse and search vehicle details, photos and specials.

The company noted that consumers can send vehicles they like to their mobile phones to view later when they are visiting the dealership. Furthermore, executives stressed how they can easily generate a vehicle-specific lead that is directed to the dealer.

Gumiyo also highlighted that Carfax Vehicle History Reports are scheduled to be available in a future release of the application.

"Because of Facebook's enormous popularity and demographic reach — especially among the next generation of car buyers — dealers have been creating their own pages and experimenting with how to leverage the site to reach them," Gumiyo stated.

"However, dealers have lacked a way to automatically syndicate their inventory into their Facebook pages and implement social networking into their overall lead-generation strategies. Without the inventory, a critical component is missing," the company proposed.

Dealers can learn more about this free application by contacting Gumiyo at sales@gumiyo.com  or visiting the MyShowroom Facebook page. Company executives also plan to be available during the National Automobile Dealers Association Convention and Expo later this week.

"To us, mobile and social networking are very much interconnected," stated Shuki Lehavi, Gumiyo's co-founder and president.

"Not only are the usage demographics similar but an enormous percentage of social networking activity occurs through a mobile phone," Lehavi continued.

"As Facebook continues to extend its platform into the mobile space, Gumiyo will be right there with it," Lehavi stressed.

"We are committed to ensuring that our partners can offer their dealer customers an up-to-date and comprehensive approach to the latest in interactive marketing," Lehavi concluded.
