ATLANTA — After moving up the previous leader of its Canadian business segment earlier this year to a newly created position in America, Manheim recently welcomed a new vice president of operations for Manheim Canada, promoting Brad Hart to the position from his prior post as general manager of Manheim Toronto.

Auto Remarketing Canada learned this week that Patrick Brennan, who previously held this post, was promoted in February to serve as market vice president — Atlanta, which is a new position within the company.

Hart's new post became effective April 1. His duties include implementing Manheim Canada's business strategies as well as overseeing operations in Canada.

Hart is also responsible for helping to head up the Canadian corporate office. Furthermore, he is charged with working alongside fellow Manheim Canada team members to "maximize the market potential of all sales activities."

All auction general managers throughout the country now report to Hart, who reports to Manheim vice president of international operations Mark Brunn.

"Brad has a genuine love for the business and leads by example," Brunn shared. "By valuing the contribution of every employee and customer, he embodies the Manheim values of teamwork and customer service.

"His leadership abilities are well-established, and his promotion will benefit both Manheim and its customers," he added.

Offering a bit of Hart's history in the business, officials noted that he began his tenure with Manheim in 1989 at Toronto Auto Auction, following his time as a car sales professional and his stint with Chrysler Canada.

He would later go on to serve as general manager of Manheim Oshawa, and then came back to Toronto AA to be its general manager in 1995, serving in that post until this promotion.
