FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. — Hyundai Motor America vice president of sales Dave Zuchowski recently changed up some members of the division's management team, including the executive who will oversee the automaker's certified pre-owned program.

Sliding over to the role of executive director of retail operations, which includes responsibility for national incentives, CPO programs, extended service plans and sales planning activities, will be Sam Brnovich.

Meanwhile, Zuchowski shifted the former manager of retail operations, Derrick Hatami, into Brnovich's former role as general manager for Hyundai's Western Region.

Executives mentioned Brnovich has been with Hyundai for six years. Prior to his regional general manger assignment, Brnovich spent three years as director of sales and marketing for Hyundai Motor Finance.

The automaker believes Brnovich has succeeded in positioning the region for exceptional future growth and prosperity potential.

With his new assignment, Hyundai contends Brnovich will utilize his recent experience in regional operations and extensive captive finance background to develop incentive programs and support CPO and extended service initiatives.

The automaker also highlighted Hatami has been with the company for five years, primarily in the areas of product development, pricing and strategic planning. Executives stress Hatami's new role will leverage his understanding of dealership operations and extensive experience in working with the manufacturer's dealer council to identify and resolve dealer issues.

"Derrick and Sam have both successfully served in these critical sales operations roles for a number of years, and as our company evolves, we want to ensure that our talent grows with it," Zuchowski emphasized.

"It's a credit to both of these professionals that we can seamlessly transition assignments, offering each new challenges to advance their own careers, while simultaneously introducing new, cross-functional creativity and energy to their respective roles," Zuchowski concluded.
