WESTCHESTER, Ill. — Insurance Auto Auctions recently broadened its footprint in the Midwest. The company opened its newest location in Portage, Wis.

IAA now has 20 facilities spread throughout this region.

Officials explained the newest location in Portage can provide salvage remarketing services, storage and sale capacity to both buying and selling customers.

Executives said they decided to expand in the Midwest because of the needs of a robust buyer base seeking a broad inventory of total-loss, recovered theft, fleet-lease, dealer trade-in and collision-damaged rental vehicles.

"We continue to look for facility growth opportunities that provide greater efficiency for our customers," noted Tom O'Brien, chief executive officer of IAA.

"The Midwest region continues to be a strong market, and Portage is a strategic addition to strengthen our service in central Wisconsin," O'Brien added.

IAA executives also reiterated that auction preview dates and times vary from facility to facility. All preview times can be found on the branch information page on IAA's Web site.
