ALPHARETTA, Ga. -

InspectMyRide.com recently formed a strategic alliance with Experian Automotive to provide vehicle inspection customers with an AutoCheck vehicle history report summary.

As a subsidiary of DataScan Field Services, InspectMyRide.com already provided a 150-point visual inspection, a variety of quality digital photos and a road test when conditions permit.

Now, the service also includes a summary of the AutoCheck report so shoppers can receive what officials are describing as “the complete picture of what the vehicle has experienced.”

The summary is based on AutoCheck’s full vehicle history report, which leverages Experian’s North American Vehicle Database of more than 650 million units to disclose important events in a vehicle’s history, such as major flood damage, frame damage or odometer rollback issues, along with other key information.

Using the summary report, InspectMyRide customers also can compare vehicles of similar models using the AutoCheck Score.

“Providing the most accurate and complete picture of the vehicle is our top priority. By adding the AutoCheck summary to our inspection report, customers get a full 360-degree view of the vehicle, spanning its history through to the present-day condition,” explained Brent Sergot, vice president and general manager of DataScan.

“Experian Automotive is a trusted company that provides the data and insight needed to understand a vehicle’s history, compare it to similar models and provide the confidence needed to make a purchasing decision,” Sergot continued.

InspectMyRide.com believes it can make visual inspections fast and affordable and can ease concerns associated with buying pre-owned vehicles online.

Within approximately 48 hours of a request, InspectMyRide.com can make arrangements to perform the third-party inspection almost anywhere in the country. The purchaser then receives an online comprehensive condition report, hi-resolution digital photographs and an AutoCheck vehicle history report summary.

“Joining forces with the InspectMyRide team is a natural fit for us,” stated Scott Waldron, president of Experian Automotive.

“We strongly believe that in order for shoppers to make the most informed purchasing decision possible, it requires that they pull an AutoCheck vehicle history report and have the vehicle inspected by a trusted source,” Waldron went on to say.

Waldron reiterated that Experian compiles data and information from reliable sources — including state department of motor vehicle records, auto auctions and dealers from all 50 states — to identify possible reported accidents, odometer rollback, lemon vehicles, branded titles, past ownership and much more.

With online sales becoming more common in today’s market, officials contend InspectMyRide.com’s nationwide network of professional inspectors is tailored to meet the needs of today’s consumers.

“Buying a car is a significant purchase, but buying online can sometimes be intimidating because of all the unknown factors,” Sergot emphasized.

“Having an experienced professional thoroughly inspect the vehicle you are considering for such a low price is worth avoiding a costly mistake,” he added.

Unlike other vehicle inspection services, Sergot pointed out an InspectMyRide.com report includes a unique consumer-friendly scoring model that analyzes findings from the inspection and assigns both a numeric score and a rating of up to five stars for each vehicle.

The introduction of InspectMyRide.com was a natural progression for DataScan, which provides similar inspection and other services to the world’s largest manufacturers, lenders, dealerships and financial institutions.

The DataScan team has more than 25 years of experience in providing automotive inspections and repair estimates.

Once buyers find a vehicle of interest, they can go to www.inspectmyride.com and complete an inspection request form.
