MAHWAH, N.J. -

Jaguar Land Rover revealed last week that a former Porsche executive will take on the top spot for the automaker’s operations here, replacing current Jaguar Land Rover North America’s Gary Temple, who is retiring later this year.

Named to the role is Andy Goss, the former chief executive officer of Porsche Cars GB, who steps into the role May 1. There will be a “hand-over period” before Temple — who has served in the post since 2007 — officially retires.

Goss’ responsibilities in the new role are to head to the national sales company operations for Jaguar and Land Rover throughout the U.S. and Canada.

“We are delighted to welcome Andy to the critically important North American team,” Popham noted. “Please join me in wishing Andy every success with his new assignment and in wishing Gary a long and happy retirement.”
