Jumpstart Automotive Group Names New CEO
NEW YORK — Jumpstart Automotive Group, which produces industry publications such as Car and Driver and Road & Track has a new chief executive officer.
Being tapped for the CEO role by parent company Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S. is Nicholas Matarazzo, an executive who is returning to the company.
During his first stint with the organization, Matarazzo served as executive vice president and group publishing director of the men's enthusiasts group for HFM U.S. Officials also mentioned that he was on the board of directors of Jumpstart.
Now, Matarazzo will report to Alain Lemarchand, president and CEO of HFM U.S., and replace Dillon McDonald, who company officials confirmed to be leaving the organization.
In June of last year, Matarazzo formed Rainmaker Media Solutions, a sales and marketing consulting firm. His client list included American Media, TV Guide, Mobile Matters and Nelligan Sports Marketing.
Executives recapped that Matarazzo began his career at CBS Magazines in 1981. CBS Magazines was ultimately acquired by HFM U.S.
Matarazzo worked at various publishing and financial positions at the company. In 1992, he was named senior vice president, group publisher for the men's titles, corporate sales and marketing.
