KAR Touts Time-Saving Benefits of AuctionTrac Tool
Officials with KAR Auction Services say the technology crafted by the company’s AuctionTrac subsidiary can allow wholesale sellers to be more productive and time-efficient during sales.
The features in AuctionTrac’s system can help sellers to monitor their inventory and make the check-in and check-out processes run quicker, as well as locate several vehicles simultaneously.
AuctionTrac scans vehicles during lot moves, thus documenting each process a car undergoes when it’s at an auction.
“Our system lets sellers see detailed information about their vehicles — where they’ve been and who drove them last,” explained Michael Newman, senior vice president of AuctionTrac. “This technology definitely helps take the guesswork and frustration out of sale day.”
Through this technology, sellers can also potentially speed up the process of getting their vehicles ready to show buyers, officials noted.
The system is designed to make the recondition process more efficient and allow for cars to move through the shops and onto the blocker more quickly.
"Because of its capabilities, AuctionTrac is a powerful tool in the hands of any dealer,” said Ricky Pickett, general manager for eFleet Direct. “This technology is truly a game-changer.”
The tool can be utilized by sellers at no charge at any of ADESA’s 29 auctions that carry AuctionTrac, and officials noted that all of the ADESA’s U.S. and Canadian auctions should have the system fully implemented by the close of September.
