Larry H. Miller Group Announces Management Changes
Dealership Group Larry H. Miller Automotive revealed last week a couple of management changes, first promoting company veteran Dean Fitzpatrick to president and chief operating officer of LHM Auto.
This change is effective immediately.
“Dean has filled various management positions within the LHM Group for the past 24 years. He has an in-depth understanding of what makes our dealerships successful and of the overall automotive industry,” Greg Miller, chief executive officer, said.
“Dean has also been responsible for the development and promotion of multiple general managers within our company,” he continued.
In his new position, Fitzpatrick will oversee “LHM Auto’s 45 dealerships in seven Western states and will be responsible for day-to-day operations including profitability, market share, CSI and the development of future general managers,” the company explained.
Highlighting Fitzpatrick’s history with the company, he joined the Larry H. Miller Group in 1988, and nine years later, he became general manager of Larry H. Miller Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Sandy, Utah.
From 2006 to 2009, he also served as general manager of LHM Subaru in Sandy, Utah, and assumed oversight of LHM Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Bountiful, Utah, the company noted.
And in August of 2010, he was promoted to regional performance manager for Provo, Utah, when the group acquired the Brent Brown Dealerships; Fitzpatrick also became the general manager of all three dealerships.
Moreover, Fitzpatrick assumed management responsibilities of LHM Collision Center Orem and LHM Used Car Supermarket Orem.
“Dean has been a great asset to our family business for many years, and I’m thrilled to have him in a position of leadership where he can influence so many,” Miller concluded.
Tony Schnurr: New Partner and GM of Larry H. Miller Ford Salt Lake
And in another announcement, Miller revealed that Tony Schnurr will be transitioning from his role as president and chief operating officer of LHM Auto to partner and general manager of Larry H. Miller Ford Salt Lake City.
This change is effective immediately.
“Tony has played an integral role in our family’s business for the past 17 years, filling senior positions within the automotive group. His dedication and work ethic have been exemplary and his influence will continue to be felt throughout the organization,” Miller said.
“As a family, we are thrilled for Tony and Carolyn and wish them well in this exciting new chapter of their lives, which they are so deserving of,” Miller continued.
“As senior vice president and operations manager of LHM Auto for 13 years and then president and chief operating officer for the past four years, Schnurr will continue to impart his knowledge on the next generation of dealership general managers as well as our employees who engage with our customers on a daily basis,” officials added.
Schnurr joined LHM Auto in 1995 as a senior vice president and operations manager, sharing operational oversight of the organization’s dealerships.
Prior to that time, he was president and chief operating officer of a four-location, seven-franchise auto dealership group in metropolitan Chicago.
He has also held regional sales management positions for a Detroit Three (Ford, General Motors, Chrysler) automaker.
