With Major Campaigns Coming, TrueCar.com Names New Exec VP of Marketing
TrueCar.com tapped the former senior vice president and general manager of the Fox Audience Network to be its new executive vice president of marketing.
The site revealed Thursday that Jason White will be responsible for developing, directing and overseeing direct-to-consumer product marketing, e-commerce, online and offline advertising initiatives and media across TrueCar.com’s current and developing properties.
Scott Painter, founder and chief executive officer of TrueCar.com insisted that White joining the executive staff is essential as the site prepares to launch major direct-to-consumer marketing campaigns focused on customer acquisition and retention and brand awareness.
“Jason is an expert in online consumer-targeted marketing with extensive experience in Internet marketing across multiple channels. He will be vital in delivering awareness of our brand to consumers,” Painter explained.
“We’ve built great products, strong technology platforms and made a name for ourselves in the automotive industry. We now look toward Jason to help make us a household name,” Painter continued.
TrueCar.com went on to mention that White arrives with extensive experience in online media and marketing, specifically centered on development and implementation of best of breed display, search engine marketing, search engine optimization, affiliate and e-mail contact strategies. The site believes White has proven successful in analyzing consumer behavior trends and implementing direct response programs and has a strong background in creative development across traditional, online/digital, offline and social media marketing.
“Triple-digit revenue growth through customer acquisition and monetization initiatives can be attributed to White’s work with various Fortune 100 companies,” TrueCar.com noted.
Most recently, executives recounted that White developed a $40 million P&L at Fox Audience Network’s MyAds.com centered on advertiser acquisition for retail, comparison shopping and local display advertisers.
Prior to MyAds.com, the site mentioned White was vice president of network development at Fox Audience Network, and also served as vice president and general manager of media and operations at Traffic Marketplace.
White also has been vice president of new customer acquisition at Bank of America.
