ST-EUSTACHE, Quebec — Manheim Montreal recently celebrated earning several awards at the Sixth Annual Monarch Gala for Business Entrepreneurship Recognition, which was hosted by the St-Eustache, Deux-Montagnes and St Marthe for the Lake Chamber of Commerce.

Taking home the top honor of Business of the Year, the facility was recognized at the recent event, which spotlights companies for how they contribute to the area's economy and community, create jobs, customer service and how they foster "regional solidarity."

The auction was chosen from 42 nominations in seven categories.

It also took home the award for Large Business of the Year and general manager Yvan St-Jean was named Best Manager of the Year.

"I am proud to be nominated in the company of such fine businesses as Nova-Bus, Group Hamel and Tri-Tex Co.," St-Jean commented. "For such a young company in this community to be recognized in this way is amazing, and it helps confirm that we are on the right track. We feel fortunate to be a part of this great community and thrilled to be recognized as valuable contributors."

Yvan called his award a personal and professional honor. He asked about his strategy for management success, and said: "Surround yourself with the right people, have a sense of humor and say 'thank you' a lot!"

"Manheim Montreal has been a true partner right from the start with the community and the Chamber of Commerce, and it has provided exceptional services and added value to its customers," Michel Goyer, director, St-Eustache Deux-Montagnes and St Marthe for the Lake Chamber of Commerce, noted.

Brad Hart, vice president of operations for Manheim Canada shared: "I'm proud of what Manheim Montreal has accomplished. These awards would not have been possible without dedication from each and every team member. Manheim Montreal's commitment to the community is founded upon its dedication to teamwork."
