ATLANTA — Manheim unveiled a mobile version of its Manheim Market Report that is designed to provide "on-the-go" dealer customers with access to wholesale vehicle pricing data and research regardless of their location.

Officials said mobile MMR — which is available at m.manheim.com on most mobile devices — is viewable through Web browsers on most major handheld devices and noted that the usability is optimal on smart phones.

It became available Wednesday.

"The Manheim Market Report has historically been a go-to resource for used vehicle dealers on a daily basis," stated Sue Boehlke, senior vice president of Manheim Online Solutions and Technology.

"In a survey conducted last year, we found that 77 percent of customers surveyed accessed Internet sites through their mobile devices," Boehlke added. "Manheim recognized the need to give customers on-the-spot access to mobile MMR, a technology whose time has arrived."

That same survey indicated that MMR values were what respondents said they needed the most.

After customers type in the VIN or the vehicle's make, model and style, mobile MMR allows customers to tailor their searches of wholesale pricing guides and average Manheim auction prices by month and week.

Transactions can be viewed by region, auction site and sale type.

Dealers offered feedback after a beta test of mobile MMR by Manheim.

"Mobile MMR makes life easier when I'm out in the lot, on the road or at the auction," shared Adam Thrasher, operations manager of VW Hyundai of Murfreesboro, one of the participants in the beta tests. "I can find what I need immediately and move on. I don't need to take notes back to my desk to start my research."

Boehlke added: "Manheim is committed to developing technologies that help our customers do business more efficiently.

"Customer feedback drove the creation of mobile MMR, and it will drive the continued development of additional high-value technologies like mobile search, which we expect to introduce in the near future," she continued. "Our aim is to place the power of Manheim in the palm of your hand."
