ST. LOUIS -

One of MetroGistics’ top executives has been named to the St. Louis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 class for 2012, which recognizes professionals under age 40 who make a difference both in business and in the community.

Tapped for the award is managing partner William Billiter, who started MetroGistics in 2010 with his business partner Scott Naz.

Billiter and his fellow honorees will be recognized at a special awards event Feb. 9 at the Chase Park Plaza.

When the two business partners first launched the company, they aimed to utilize “cutting-edge technology to provide full-service vehicle transportation, storage and ancillary services.”

And today, MetroGistics employs 12 and has shipped tens of thousands of vehicles for various clients including new car manufacturers, dealers and car rental agencies, officials noted.

“Anyone who is familiar with William will tell you he puts his heart and soul into his work and is absolutely dedicated to doing things the right way,” said partner Naz.

“We at MetroGistics are very happy for him and congratulate him on this well-deserved award,” he added.

Highlighting Billiter’s career background, he started in the auto transport industry in 1997 as a driver for a car dealership. There, he helped them establish a separate large transport organization.

As for his time off of work, Billiter enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife and two stepsons, and is also actively involved with the Humane Society.

The 40 Under 40 Awards recognize professionals under age 40 who are movers and shakers both in business and in the community, officials noted.

And just this year, judges received more than 450 nominations.

Full profiles of the winners will appear in the Jan. 27 issue of the St. Louis Business Journal.
