NAFA Unveils Special Offer for Fleet Managers
DETROIT — The NAFA Fleet Management Association said Thursday that it is offering fleet managers free admission to the expo hall and two of the keynote addresses at its upcoming 2010 Institute & Expo, which will be held April 24-27 at Detroit's Cobo Center.
Qualifying fleet managers — meaning those who either manage a fleet or are involved with managing a fleet — can attend the expo hall at the event, which opens April 25, for free. They can also attend the keynote presentations on April 25 and April 26 at no charge, as well.
General Motors vice chairman Bob Lutz is the keynote speaker on April 25, while Ford executive vice president and president of the Americas Mark Fields is delivering the keynote address on the April 26.
NAFA noted that fleet managers can register online at www.nafaiande.org. Officials emphasized that to enter, fleet managers must also provide a business card as well as a driver's license or other form of identification at the expo hall.
Furthermore, NAFA said that those providing services or products are not eligible for free entry.
Moving on, the association shared some of the details of its expo hall.
It will include the latest fleet products and services offered by automakers, leasing companies, software suppliers, service providers, as well as maintenance and repair companies, among others.
There will also be a "Green Zone" showcasing the most modern technology involving clean diesel models, alternative/renewable fuels, hybrid vehicles and electric vehicles, among other advanced technologies aimed at developing greener fleets.
Additionally, NAFA invites fleet managers to attend a Networking Welcome Reception from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (EST) on April 25 on the expo floor. This will include food, beverages, and the chance to network with fleet manager peers.
Officials stressed that the expo hall is just one of many features of the Institute & Expo. The event will include fleet training, education and seminars. There will also be a "Public Safety Roadeo" and "Ride-and-Drive," as well fleet industry awards and networking opportunities.
