New DealerSocket Tool Allows Dealership Staff to IM Users, Text Customers
Dealers now have yet another way to communicate with shoppers.
Customer relationship management company DealerSocket revealed Tuesday the release of SocketTalk — a texting tool that allowing “instant two-way communication between the dealership and a customers’ mobile device,” as well as instant messaging from within the CRM to internal DealerSocket users.
Commenting on the new release, Brad Perry, DealerSocket co-founder and chief technology officer, said, "We decided to develop a texting and IM tool to provide dealers with an easier, more effective way to communicate with their customers.
"The dealers piloting this new technology with us say the product is an amazing and valuable collaboration tool," he added.
The company went on to stress that the SocketTalk Text is a “true two-way texting tool,” not simply email-to-text.
DealerSocket customers now have the option to discuss sales and services, as well as quality assurance events, and more with customers via text.
“It is an efficient channel to communicate with customers, and is opt-in and opt-out compliant to protect dealerships and their customers,” company officials noted.
And as for the IM side of the tool — SocketTalk Instant Message — this allows users to IM a single person, team, dealership or multiple dealerships.
“DealerSocket is excited about the efficiency this new communication channel provides dealers to keep in contact with customers and employees,” the company concluded.
