LAS VEGAS -

The National Independent Dealers Association named its 2011 Quality Dealer of the Year late last week, bestowing the honors upon Scott Allen, who owns Auto Land in Haltom City, Texas.

Allen — who was presented the award at the 65th Annual NIADA Convention & Expo in Las Vegas — beat out 19 other finalists.

An NIADA Certified Master Dealer, Allen has two decades of experience in the field and has been a Texas Independent Auto Dealer Association member for 17 years. He is currently TIADA’s president-elect and has been on its executive committee the past four years.

He is also active in political efforts to help his brethren in the independent dealer community. Additionally, he offers an endowment each year to Texas Tech University, his alma mater.

“I am proud of the standards our members meet and Scott epitomizes the quality of dealer professionalism that our members strive to reach,” said NIADA chief executive officer Mike Linn said. “Scott earned the right to be called NIADA’s Quality Dealer of the Year for his efforts both in his dealership and in his community.”

Allen added: “Auto Land is in business to sell and finance affordable, safe automobiles in a cost-effective manner while maintaining an environment of integrity, trust and respect. It is our hope that our association with our customers will last many years and we will strive daily to improve the quality of services we can provide.”
