INNISFIL, Ontario — In addition to sharing plans for its anniversary sale next week, North Toronto Auction revealed recently that it will be the first Canadian auction to partner with SmartAuction to sell wholesale units.

"We are eager to break away from the traditional auction schedule of most physical auctions having an auction on the same day every week. We have modified our physical auction schedule to accommodate a new philosophy of having cars for sale every day," stated Matt Rispin owner/partner and general manager of the auction.

"Being an independent auction allows a huge advantage when it comes to teaming with auction companies such as SmartAuction," he continued. "We can use several of these companies to maximize our sales, conversion rate and bottom line.

Currently, the auction is in the testing stage and the team plans to have the official launch next month.

"At that time we hope to announce partnership with another large Internet remarketing company, giving our customers a choice of which avenue they want to use," Rispin added.

Continuing on, the auction also said it enjoyed its best-ever first quarter, with revenue up 600 percent. Officials said this reflects the company's sales increase and also expense reduction.

"Our employees have done an excellent job streamlining their processes. In my opinion, North Toronto Auction has the strongest staff in the industry," Rispin stated. "Even during these turbulent times our management, sales and operations staff were able to take our auction to new levels. I can't be more proud."

Next up, North Toronto said it will host its seven-year anniversary sale on April 30, which officials project will be the largest dealer-only sale the facility has had. And with the Autogavel online Webcast, the sale will include buyers throughout North America.
