REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — OPENLANE is reaching out to its dealers and consignors this week with its inaugural Client Advisory Board meeting, an invitation-only forum event where OPENLANE executives will offer the company's customers their perspectives on remarketing trends, best practices and current state of the industry.

The event — which will be held today and Wednesday at the Fairmont Hotel in Scottsdale, Ariz. — will be started with a keynote address from OPENLANE chief executive officer Daniel Farrar. In his speech, Farrar will talk about the company's growth and accomplishments in the last year.

Farrar will share a summary looking at the growth in such areas as iDEAL, the company's dealer-to-dealer network, as well as OPENLANE's key partnerships within the repossession, fleet and rental segments.

President Peter Kelly will also talk about the company's achievements and performance, touching on its record sales and growth momentum.

Other OPENLANE executives will offer a "behind-the-scenes perspective" on getting the most out of using the company's open auction.

Chief information officer Gary Edelstein will offer a technology overview and update, vice president of U.S. operations James O'Brien will go over the company's dealer services and vice president of transport Michael Briggs will provide an update to the company's transportation services.

"Our goal for this Client Advisory Board meeting is to create an open and interactive forum where our customers can get firsthand information from OPENLANE executives on creating the best business practices possible — an essential asset in today's challenging economy," Farrar explained.

"This exclusive event provides a great deal of value for both OPENLANE and audience members because it provides us with an opportunity to engage with each other and discuss high priority issues in our industry," he continued. "Not only do our customers benefit from this interaction, but their invaluable feedback provides us with the information needed to continue catering our services to their needs and further our commitment to excellent customer service."
