BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. — Penske Automotive Group this week announced the opening of two more luxury brand dealerships to expand its market presence in northern Virginia and Washington, D.C.

The group rolled out two dealerships in Chantilly, Va., an Audi store and a Mercedes-Benz rooftop. Executives pointed out that these new operations are located about 16 miles east of their existing Audi and Mercedes-Benz dealerships in Tysons Corner, Va.

Penske indicated these new dealerships reside on a 10-acre site near Dulles Airport. The company highlighted Audi Chantilly features a sales and service facility consisting of 29,500 square feet, while Mercedes-Benz of Chantilly boasts an operation of 40,000 square feet that includes sales and service for the Mercedes' Sprinter brand.

On a combined basis, executives noted these dealerships add 44 additional service bays to handle the growing units in operation in these markets.

The company estimates these two new dealerships will generate approximately $70 million in combined annualized revenue. Penske now operates 10 Audi and eight Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the United States.

"We are thrilled with the opportunity to expand our presence with the Audi and Mercedes-Benz brands in these important markets," stated Bernie Wolfe, executive vice president for Penske's Eastern operations.

"The facilities were built to showcase the unique attributes of each brand, and offer the latest features in customer care," Wolfe added.
