ELDRIDGE, Iowa — QCSA Holdings announced Tuesday that it has acquired salvage remarketing firm Salvage Direct, and the two companies will be joining together.

Salvage Direct was the first online auction in the total-loss claims sector, according to officials.

"Salvage Direct is a leader in salvage remarketing and Internet auctions," stated John Lindle, chief executive officer of QCSA Holdings. "We are thrilled to be combining forces with Bob Joyce and his entire team."

Officials said the new entity will include 80 locations and remarket over 120,000 vehicles each year.

"We're excited to combine the best of both enterprises" stated Joyce, the founder and president of Salvage Direct. "This new partnership will provide our customers with more options, increased services, broader reach and enhanced recoveries."

Jerry Sullivan, executive vice president of QCSA, added: "This combination represents a viable national alternative for salvage vehicle re-marketing. Our national footprint will allow us to quickly expand innovative and unique total loss management services not currently available in the marketplace."
