For the fifth year in a row, AutoNation sits atop the nation’s auto retailers on Fortune’s 2025 World’s Most Admired Companies list.

It’s the eighth consecutive year on the list for the giant dealer group, which operates more than 300 locations in 20 states.

The 2025 list includes 314 companies, 229 of which are based in the U.S., representing 52 industries globally. Fortune partnered with consulting firm Korn Ferry to survey the corporate reputations of the largest U.S. firms and non-U.S. companies with $10 billion or more in revenue.

More than 3,300 executives, directors and analysts rated the companies on nine factors, including business effectiveness, management quality, talent attraction and responsibility to the community and environment.

In a news release, AutoNation highlighted DRV PNK, its ongoing initiative to provide funding for cancer research and support cancer patients and their loved ones, as an example of its community responsibility. To date, DRV PNK has raised more than $40 million for cancer research and treatment through awareness walks, dealership donation drives, community fundraisers, and other activities.

“The strong performance by AutoNation to achieve this recognition shows how we strive to be a well-rounded organization, impressive in both internal excellence and external impact,” CEO Mike Manley said. “It’s our people who make us the most admired automotive retailer in the industry. We are determined to deliver exceptional experiences and make a lasting difference in the lives of those we touch.”
