CarData and Velocity Automotive Marketing are expanding their partnership into Southern California with the acquisition of Tristar Digital Services.
CarData, a provider of vehicle inventory photography, said the strategic acquisition strengthens its reach and “enhances its ability to deliver high-quality automotive photography and digital merchandising solutions to dealerships throughout the region.”
“Our mission has always been to provide franchise dealerships with industry-leading vehicle photography and merchandising solutions,” CarData general manager Wayne Balroop said. “The Southern California market is a vital hub for the automotive industry, and this acquisition allows us to further support dealerships with the high-quality imagery and technology they need to drive sales.”
Tristar is well established among Southern California dealerships, CarData said in a news release, offering professional vehicle imaging and digital content services, adding that bringing Tristar into the CarData and Velocity network will give dealers access to “cutting-edge photography workflows, advanced digital solutions and an expanded support team.”
Tristar founder Chris Treister said the company’s clients “will benefit from the increased resources, technology and expertise this partnership brings. It’s a win-win for everyone.”
As part of its expansion, CarData and Velocity Automotive Marketing plan to add vehicle photographers and digital merchandising professionals to their staff in Southern California, the companies said.
