CarMax to hold in-person hiring events for techs, service department staff

CarMax is going all out to find auto technicians and other service department staff.
The national used-car retailer announced it will hold in-person hiring events for automotive technicians and service professionals in 12 cities across the country from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Feb. 20.
Candidates will be interviewed for various positions, including technicians, detailers, painters and supply associates. The company is hiring to fill new and existing positions at CarMax locations nationwide, including roles for the company’s standalone reconditioning and auction center in El Mirage, Ariz., expected to open in April.
New and experienced automotive professionals can receive on-the-spot job offers, with some positions offering sign-on bonuses up to $7,500, depending on the location. Compensation for service operations roles will vary by location and experience.
The events will held in Glendale, Ariz.; Carrollton, Ga.; Norcross, Ga.; Kennesaw, Ga.; Duarte, Calif.; Laurel, Md.; Sterling, Va.; Garland, Texas; Virginia Beach, Va.; St. James, N.Y.; Puyallup, Wash.; and Savannah, Ga.
