Carvana offers NASCAR fans a chance to design Jimmie Johnson’s car
Carvana wants you to put your mark on a NASCAR champion’s ride.
The online used-car retailer is teaming with Legacy Motor Club to give fans the chance to design the paint scheme for seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson’s No. 84 Toyota in the upcoming NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship.
In a news release, the company invited people of all skill levels, “whether you’re a professional designer or an enthusiastic doodler,” to enter the contest, which runs through Oct. 1.
The race is scheduled for Nov. 9 at Phoenix Raceway in Avondale, Ariz.
“At Carvana, we believe in putting our customers in the driver’s seat, and we are excited to engage the community and celebrate the creativity and passion of racing fans with this contest,” Carvana co-founder and chief brand officer Ryan Keeton said in a news release. “We can’t wait to see what incredible designs fans come up with for Jimmie’s car.”
To enter, participants should download the template from the Carvana Fan Design Contest landing page and submit their design by uploading it to their Instagram grid or on X, tagged with @CarvanaRacing and #CarvanaFanDesign.
The winning design, which will be selected by a panel of judges including Jimmie Johnson, will be contacted via direct message from @CarvanaRacing in early October.
Carvana said the grand prize winner will receive a trip for two to the race, including round-trip flights, lodging, a $500 food and beverage credit, VIP passes for the race, an exclusive meet and greet with Johnson, “and, of course, bragging rights for creating a piece of racing history.”
