With the latest addition to its same-day delivery service, Carvana has reached a milestone.

The online used-vehicle retailer has expanded same-day delivery to select residents of the Newark, N.J., the 15th market, representing 12 states, to be included. Carvana said that means the service is now available to approximately 25% of the U.S. population.

“At Carvana, it’s not just about offering more choices but making those choices more accessible and convenient,” senior director of market operations and expansion Jacqueline Hearns said in a news release. “Our expansion of same-day delivery to Newark-area residents is a testament to our commitment to continually raising the bar for our customers.”

The service, which was launched in Arizona last August,  allows area customers to take delivery of a vehicle as soon as the same day they place an order on Carvana.com, and select customers interested in selling their current vehicle to Carvana can also get same day drop-off.

Newark is the sixth new market added in 2024, joining Birmingham, Ala.; San Antonio, Texas; Oklahoma City, Okla.; Philadelphia and Sacramento, Calif.

Carvana said the service is supported by its first-party logistics network and infrastructure, which including Carvana inspection and reconditioning centers and ADESA auction sites.
