When it comes to the coming tariffs and their effect on the auto retail sector, clarity is in short supply.

So Landers Auto Group wants to make one thing clear: The tariffs won’t affect their current in-stock inventory.

The Memphis-based group, which operates 12 dealerships in Tennessee and Mississippi, announced all of its vehicles currently in stock at all of its locations will be sold at pre-tariff prices, with no additional markup in anticipation of future inventory price increases.

In a news release, the company said it made the decision to take “immediate action” to protect its customers from unexpected costs.

Landers Auto Group also said it will honor all existing customer vehicle orders at the pre-tariff price, parts or service orders that have already been placed will be fulfilled at pre-tariff pricing, and all current inventory of parts, tires and oil will remain at pre-tariff prices with no additional markup.

The company encouraged customers to act now while pre-tariff inventory is still available.

“We understand the concerns our customers have,” owner Kent Ritchey said. “We want to be clear: We will not pass additional costs on to you for anything already in stock or on order.”

Healey Brothers honors deceased veterans

Healey Brothers Automotive Group’s Wreaths Across America partnership with the NAM Knights of America motorcycle club resulted in 2,607 wreaths being placed on military veterans’ gravesites during the 2024 holiday season — the most in New York state, the dealership group said.

The wreaths placed by Healey Brothers and NAM Knights were among 112,300 gravesites decorated throughout the state and 3 million wreaths at more than 4,900 nationwide in a heartfelt effort to remember veterans who lost their lives in service to the United States.

Healey Brothers donated money for wreaths, transported them and laid wreaths on gravesites chief marketing officer Jason Healey said. The company also provided trucks used in a Dec. 13 veterans parade through Goshen, N.Y.

Healey praised the NAM Knights, whose members are retired military veterans, for its partnership in making the event successful and meaningful.

“This was a vital initiative,” he said. “We were honored to partner with the NAM Knights and are gratified that our collective efforts were the most in New York state. Our brave veterans must always be remembered, and we must continue to treasure the importance of freedom today, tomorrow and for every generation.

“Healey Brothers was founded by a proud veteran, W.S. Healey, and all of us at Healey Brothers salute our Armed Forces members past, present and future.”

Wreaths were placed on veterans’ resting places at the Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Goshen after an annual parade honoring military members past and present, including those who received Purple Hearts and served in all branches of the U.S. military. Gold Star families, whose children made the ultimate sacrifice during their Armed Forces service, were also recognized.

Wreaths Across America is among Healey Brothers’ philanthropic initiatives throughout the year, in partnership with its Driven to Give Foundation. The foundation, established with the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan, is a permanently endowed fund that awards grants to a nonprofit organizations in the Hudson Valley and provides scholarships to students pursuing automotive industry careers.

Healey Brothers operates eight locations in New York state.
