Dealer news: Venerable California dealership sold; Zeigler Kalamazoo Marathon announces changes
Alin Navidi has acquired Covina Volkswagen in Covina, Calif., from SRO Group and Greg Bozzani, according to Performance Brokerage Services, which advised on the transaction.
Navidi started his automotive career as a used-car dealer in Portland, Ore., before becoming a partner in Coachella Valley Volkswagen in Palm Springs, Calif. When that business was sold, he began looking for an opportunity for full ownership of a dealership.
Covina Volkswagen was established in 1911 by Joe and Amerigo Bozzani, who traveled from Italy under the commission of Fiat. Greg Bozzani represents the family’s third generation in the dealership. With the sale SRO Group now consists of two California stores – Volkswagen of Ontario and Volvo of Ontario.
Covina Volkswagen will be renamed Covina Valley Volkswagen.
