Auto Remarketing recently learned that Kia Motors America has now partnered with both AutoTrader.com and Experian Automotive to enhance its certified pre-owned program.
As part of the deal with AutoTrader.com, the site will now display Kia’s certified inventory prominently.
“With demand rising for certified pre-owned vehicles, our relationship with AutoTrader.com will more effectively drive customers to view and purchase our inventory,” explained Tom Loveless, vice president of sales for Kia Motors America.
“AutoTrader.com has pioneered online vehicle advertising, and we are looking forward to what this new opportunity can do for both our customers and our Kia dealers,” he added.
The Kia CPO program, which is administered by JM&A Group, went live on AutoTrader.com in December.
Consumers can now search for both used and certified Kia vehicles via the site. The CPO units will be aggregated in an exclusive Kia CPO area.
Kia also launched an advertising initiative via AutoTrader.com to raise awareness about this new offering.

Experian Deal
Kia certified models now also include AutoCheck vehicle history reports across the entire dealer network and related websites.
The reports include a notation that each vehicle has been fully qualified for the CPO program.
“Used-car shoppers want transparency when it comes to understanding the history of a vehicle they intend to buy,” Loveless pointed out. “Providing AutoCheck vehicle history reports on Kia’s pre-owned vehicles to all of our dealers and Web partners helps increase customers’ confidence in the shopping process and provides them with the peace of mind that they are making the right vehicle purchase.”

“As part of the enhanced program, AutoCheck can now provide this assurance to Kia shoppers nationwide through its entire dealer network and third-party websites such as AutoTrader.com,” he continued.
Kia’s CPO program includes comprehensive coverage for eligible used units, or those up to five years old with fewer than 60,001 miles on the odometer that pass the required inspection. Benefits include a long-term 10-year/100,000-mile certified powertrain limited warranty. Service contracts, which can add to and complement existing coverage, are also available.
