MONTVALE, N.J. -

Mercedes-Benz USA unveiled a few shifts in its leadership on Wednesday, as it appointed five general manager positions spread throughout corporate headquarters and its Northeast region.

Beginning with the new general manager of the Northeast region, filling this role is Andrew Gillman, whose most recent post with Mercedes-Benz was as general manager of vehicle logistics and distribution. His time with the company includes seven years of field experience when he served as the Southern region’s controlling manager and the Northeast region’s market manager.

He succeeds the late Joseph Kurp in the role. Gillman’s duties in the new position include managing and directing regional staff and the sales and service field organization.

This appointment was immediately effective.

Next up, Mercedes-Benz revealed that Rory Anne Hepner has been appointed to fill Gillman’s prior post as general manager of vehicle logistics and distribution. Likewise, this position was effective immediately.

Hepner will head up retail vehicle distribution, import and logistics, distribution systems allocation and ordering. Moreover, her duties also include leading the Baltimore, Los Angeles and Brunswick, Ga. distribution centers.

In her time with MBUSA, she has served as corporate counsel, the regional franchise development manager in San Francisco and the Lost Angeles region’s market manager. Her most recent post was a department manager of sales and field operations.

Hepner has also served in management positions in national network development.

Moving along, the company revealed that Willi Goossen will take on the role of general manager of after sales business development on May 1 in replacement of Christian Treiber.

Treiber is going back to Stuttgart, Germany.

Goshen’s career with Daimler companies goes back to 1997. His most recent position was as Mercedes-Benz Manhattan’s finance project manager. As some may know, that dealership is the MBUSA’s flagship company-owned store. In June, it slated to open the doors on a new location.

Additionally, the company named a new general manager for smart USA. Moving into that role on May 1 will be Tracey Matura. Her duties there will include heading up the U.s. distribution, sales and marketing for smart.

Matura has served as corporate counsel, general counsel for the company, in addition to her most recent position as general manager of strategic retail development.

Filling Matura’s shoes in that position will be Niles Barlow. That move is effective May 1, as well.

Barlow duties will include leading implementation and compliance of all of the policies, programs and activities that support the retail direction and objectives of the company.

His duties also include managing facilities and corporate-owned properties. His time with the company includes several field positions as well as his most recent position serving as general manager of pre-owned and fleet operations.
