FRANKLIN, Tenn. -

Nissan Americas revealed a few senior leadership changes within the company’s purchasing and corporate planning organizations that will take effect next month, including a new vice president of corporate planning and program management office (PMO).

Appointed to that role is Catherine Perez, who is currently vice president of purchasing in the Renault-Nissan purchasing organization (RNPO).

Taking Perez’s spot will be Rebecca Vest, whose current role is serving as director of powertrain purchasing at RNPO.

Under these shifts, Eric Noziere is to become general manager of corporate planning for Canada and Brazil.

Each of these three changes is effective April 1.

Moving along to discuss these changes in more detail, officials noted that in Perez’s new post, she will head up the PMO at Nissan Americas. Moreover, she will be charged with managing the overseas programs and corporate planning for Nissan in the U.S. and Mexico as well as in 37 Latin America and Caribbean countries.

When she takes the new role, she reports to Scott Becker, who is Nissan Americas’ senior vice president of administration and finance.

Perez moved from Renault to Nissan in 2008. She has worked in various purchasing management roles in the years since then. Perez’s early career experience includes time working on chemical group Rhone Poulenc’s sales management team.

Meanwhile, Vest’s new responsibilities include leading the automaker’s purchasing activities within its U.S. and Mexican manufacturing operations.

Vest is to report to Bill Krueger, who is Nissan Americas’ senior vice president of manufacturing, purchasing, supply chain management and total customer satisfaction.

She was at Toyota before coming aboard at Nissan in 2009. Her time with Toyota lasted 22 years and included purchasing and engineering/cost-planning posts of increasing responsibility.

Next up, Noziere will still report to Becker in his new position. In this post, his duties will center on Nissan’s corporate planning in Canada and Brazil.

Noziere has been with Nissan since 2002. Before that, he spent five years at General Motors in the U.S.

During that time, he served in the finance and business development arenas. Noziere’s career background also includes time with Alcatel Alstom in France and Brazil, a tenure that lasted eight years.

In his time with Nissan, his leadership roles have included U.S. and Canadian corporate planning and finance posts. Moreover, Noziere also has leadership experience in Nissan’s light commercial vehicle and fleet division in Japan.

"This set of management appointments enables Nissan to sharpen its focus on growth and development in Canada and Brazil, while preserving stability and business continuity across our entire Americas organization," said Nissan Americas chairman Carlos Tavares.

“Catherine, Rebecca and Eric will each bring functional expertise as well as critical knowledge of the company to their new positions, demonstrating the bench strength of our Americas leadership team,” he added.
