The list of winners of the 21st annual Vincentric Best Value in America Awards looks awfully familiar.

Toyota was named the Best Value Passenger Car brand for the 2025 model year — the 10th time it has won that award — and claimed the Best Value SUV and Van brand award for the eighth time.

The story was similar in the truck and luxury car categories, with Ford and Lexus each taking their ninth respective titles. There was one first-time brand winner, with Cadillac earning Best Value Luxury SUV brand honors.

Vincentric selects the winners based on which vehicles have lower than expected ownership costs for their market segment and price. Cost of ownership is determined using eight cost factors: depreciation, fees and taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost and repairs.

The company evaluated nearly 2,000 vehicle configurations in all 50 states plus D.C., using a range of annual mileage intervals and insurance profiles.

“The Vincentric Best Value in America Awards use an unbiased, data-driven analysis designed to give insight to consumers who are looking to purchase a new vehicle,” Vincentric president David Wurster said. “There are many different factors that impact the cost and value of a vehicle. Our awards take a comprehensive look into these costs to identify smart choices for the consumer market.”

Toyota led all brands with seven model-level awards, winning three of the five passenger car segments and four of the five among SUVs and vans.

Hybrids led the way for Toyota, with the Corolla Hybrid topping compact segment for the third consecutive year, the Prius taking its third compact hatchback award, the Camry Hybrid earning the Camry’s sixth overall win in the midsize segment, and the RAV4 Hybrid and Corolla Cross Hybrid among SUVs. In addition, the Sienna ran off with its eighth win in the minivan segment.

All of Ford’s award-winning trucks were returning champions in their segments, with the F-350 pulling away for its 10th full-size 1-ton pickup crown. The F-250 was selected as the Best Value Full-Size 3/4-Ton Pickup for the fourth consecutive year and seventh time overall, and the Maverick Hybrid won small/midsize pickup segment for the second year in a row.

Among luxury vehicles, Lexus’ RC Series won luxury coupe honors for the seventh time and the ES Series Hybrid grabbed its ninth luxury mid-size sedan title. Cadillac’s Lyriq claimed victory in the luxury midsize SUV segment.

Other brands with winning models included Acura, BMW, Chevrolet, Fiat, Genesis, Honda, Mazda, Tesla and Volvo.
