TADA, OADA Announce Merger, Combined Dealer Association for Ontario

The Ontario Automobile Dealers Association and the Toronto Automobile Dealers Association are officially merging.
Announcing the combined association on Friday, officials claim the new Trillium Automobile Dealers Association will be the largest of its kind in Canada. It also marks the first time that all new-vehicle dealers in the province will be under the same organization, they added.
OADA and TADA both approved the measure on Feb. 16.
“I’m honored to celebrate this historic achievement with my fellow new car dealers from across Ontario,” stated Sandy Liguori, TADA president
“Dealers sell different brands of automobiles but are bound by common issues of importance,” Liguori continued. “Speaking with one voice will make us stronger when advocating our positions to industry stakeholders and government.”
OADA president Doug Sullivan added: “It’s a momentous day for new car dealers across our province. This significant event is a substantial step towards better advocacy and will streamline member services for dealers. As a result of this dynamic merger we have formed a superior Association, as we stand united throughout the foremost province of Ontario.”
