FRANKLIN, Tenn. -

Auto Remarketing has learned who will succeed R. Charles Nichols as ServNet president in 2014.

Nichols announced that his successor will be Patty Stanley, who has been elected to serve as vice president of the company’s board of directors.

Stanley and her husband, Henry Stanley, are the owners of two ServNet auctions: Carolina Auto Auction in Anderson, S.C., and Indiana Auto Auction in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Both Patty and Henry Stanley have served in leadership positions with the National Auto Auction Association, including Henry’s role as NAAA president in 2000. The Stanleys also co-chaired the 2004 NAAA convention committee, and were instrumental in forming the NAAA Scholarship Foundation, ServNet said.

Patty Stanley, who previously served as both a director and as treasurer on the ServNet board, will work closely with Nichols over the next 18 months before she succeeds him in 2014, following the pattern established by NAAA

“Patty’s contributions to ServNet have been invaluable during her term of service as both a director and as treasurer, and I look forward to working with her in her capacity as vice president,” said Nichols. “Her participation is driven by her dedication to ServNet, her commitment to the industry, and her support for the education and training of the next generation of auction owners. She is a tremendous example of an active, committed leader, and we are certain to benefit from her efforts on our behalf. ”

Stanley cited the benefits of the auction group in her comments on the election.

“As ServNet auction owners, we all derive tremendous benefit from sharing ideas, services and networking opportunities,” she said. “I am both pleased and honored to serve on ServNet’s Board and am looking forward to working with Charles Nichols and the other officers and directors to continue to expand ServNet’s influence and impact on the marketplace.”

In other ServNet board news, the company announced that Kevin Brown, owner and general manager of Missouri Auto Auction, now assumes duties as ServNet’s treasurer, while Eric Autenrieth, co-owner and general manager at Indiana Auto Auction, becomes ServNet’s representative on the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance’s Board of Directors.

Jeff Brasher, owner of Brasher’s Reno Auto Auction, will continue in his role as ServNet’s chairman of the board.

Remaining as directors are Doug Doll, owner of Kansas City Independent Auto Auction, and Brad Sturgeon, owner of Dealers Auto Auction of the Southwest and Dealers Auto Auction of the Rockies.

“The active involvement of ServNet’s owners is another indication of ServNet’s strength and leadership,” said Pierre Pons, ServNet chief executive officer. “As involved as they are in the day-to-day operations of their own businesses, these owners are tremendously selfless in giving of their time and energy on behalf of ServNet and the auction industry. Their strategic leadership is vital to the success of the independent auction community.”
