CARY, N.C. -

The worlds of journalism and publishing have become increasingly digitalized, and Auto Remarketing is no stranger to these changes. And as the media leader in the remarketing and used-car business, we are accelerating our mobile efforts to meet the digital demands of our readers.

With today’s launch of AR.com Mobile, dealers, remarketers and other used-car industry professionals are now provided with a new platform to access and utilize our digital content wherever they may be.

“We’re committed to delivering relevant and compelling content to our audiences wherever they choose to consume it,” said Bill Zadeits, president of parent company Cherokee Automotive Group.

“The latest release of the new mobile platform continues this effort to give our readers the freedom of accessing information from Auto Remarketing quickly and easily from their mobile device,” Zadeits continued.

The functionality and content of AR.com Mobile should be fairly familiar to readers. Where the change comes is in how the content appears on the screen. It will be presented in a streamlined fashion best-suited for mobile devices.

“The major advantage is that the theme and layout are optimized for mobile phones, and the user will be able to switch back and forth,” explained Richard Hibbitts, programmer and developer for Cherokee Automotive Group.

“So if a reader is on an iPhone and lands on the mobile site, but still wants to see the ‘full’ site, he or she will be able to switch over,” he added. “By the same token, if you’re on an iPad or Kindle, you will get the full site. But if you want to see the mobile version, you can.”

Additional changes to the mobile version are on the horizon as we continue to adapt our digital offerings to meet the needs of our readers.

“We’re expanding into the next level of digital content and will continue to reach our readers where they consume the data,” Zadeits concluded.
