NORFOLK, Va. -

Dominion Dealer Solutions’ reputation and social media platform is expanding to include new mobile and browser-based tools for dealers that will make it easier to keep all social media content organized and in one place.

Prime Response now includes Prime Capture, a smartphone app used to source image and video content; as well as Primelet, which is a browser-based tool for content management and curation.

Prime Capture, available for iOS and Android devices, can assist dealers in image and video capturing for “the curation of local content,” the company explained.

The new tool allows dealership employees to capture photos and up to 43-second videos, and the content is automatically saved to a centralized media library to use for different social media channels.

The Primelet tool is a browser plug-in that enables any Prime user to select image, textual or video content on a Web page and move that content directly to the Prime content library.

“I’ve spoken to industry leaders who have man-gineered around the simple problem of collecting content for consideration and using that content to engage social communities,” explained Brice Englert, general product manager for Dominion’s Marketing Solutions. “These two solutions offer substantial efficiencies for dealers to guarantee original, relevant content to impress and grow their social communities.”

These enhancements are available at no extra charge to all employees of dealerships that use Prime Response’s social media management capabilities, the company said.

“Today’s car buyer expects transparency and local content from automotive dealerships,” noted Michael Sos, product manager for Prime Response. “Dealers must have a plan for their entire web presence that includes updated viral content. One of the easiest ways to implement this is through Prime Response, which offers all the power of an industry-leading reputation management solution.”
