Gubagoo, provider of digital retailing and conversational commerce for auto dealerships, has launched of Guba IQ, the latest enhancement of its ChatSmart tool.

In a news release, the company said the artificial intelligence-powered Guba IQ was built in-house using OpenAI tools and is “fully trained” based automotive data from Gubagoo and its parent company, Reynolds and Reynolds.

Guba IQ is designed to answer car feature and comparison questions, using machine learning to help keep customers engaged in dealer chats and create a “showroom-like” sales experience.

“Guba IQ provides more accurate and informative responses to detailed customer questions than ever before,” Gubagoo president Brad Title said in a news release. “This human-like interaction asks better questions and gets better answers, leading to higher customer retention, by delivering seamless and personalized interactions that drive deals forward and elevate the customer experience.”

Gubagoo said Guba IQ is capable of communicating in more than 120 languages and added it accentuates the modern retail experience online, calling it “more than just a chatbot — it’s a holistic tool that incorporates the latest technology with the human element that ultimately make sales successful.”

In the release, the company said its team of chat specialists will continue to be involved in conversations when needed, and dealers will continue to have the ability to jump into any conversation at any point.

Guba IQ will not address inquiries outside of automotive, which is a common issue when using chats that are based on ChatGPT models.

“Everyone wants to improve lead quality and volume,” Title said. “Guba IQ gives you the confidence that your chat tool is well equipped to do so.”
