Third-party logistics brokerage Montway Auto Transport has introduced real-time vehicle shipment tracking in partnership with technology provider Ship.Cars.

Montway said the service offers its customers 24/7 real-time visibility of their shipment status and access to inspection and delivery documents for “increased control and visibility from pickup through delivery.”

Ship.Cars announced the launch of its real-time tracking feature this month.

Montway said the service enables its customers to access shipment information quickly without having to call drivers or customer service representatives for updates. After booking their order, customers receive an email containing a link to their dedicated order status web page where they can find shipment, carrier and driver information, an estimated delivery date and inspection documents.

The company said its shipping advisors are also available 365 days a year via telephone or live chat to provide support.

“We’re always looking for ways to improve the customer experience, and providing real-time shipping status has been one of our top priorities,” Montway executive vice president of operations and retail sales Mark Scholl said in a news release. “This new feature puts more power in the hands of the customer, offering greater peace of mind with 24/7 visibility of their order, from dispatch through delivery.”

In the coming months, Montway said, the company plans to add Ship.Cars’ generative artificial intelligence chatbot to the status tracking page capable of answering questions related to auto logistics.
